Yvonne Parker is enjoying a lovely evening riding through the Dorset countryside with friends and their horses. They are exploring a new route, travelling from Shaftesbury to the nearby village of Semley where they are planning to stop for dinner at the pub, when a scream stops everybody in their tracks. Somebody has been attacked, and the local people rush to help, pouring out of the pub and running from their houses in the direction of the person in need of their help.
Over the next few weeks while Yvonne and her friends are trying to focus on re-opening her antiques shop, Angel Lane Antiques in Shaftesbury, the mystery of who was attacked and why keeps interrupting the smooth running of her business. Antiques, horses, local bakery and restaurant, friends, family, all combine and weave their way through the story as thefts are uncovered and murders revealed.
